Introducing the new Overview Page: A unified starting point for web and mobile observability

Embrace’s mission has always been to give engineering teams complete visibility into how their apps perform in the real world, across every user, device, and interaction. We’re here to make it easy for teams to extract the insights they need to maintain fast, stable, and highly performant apps.

That’s why we’re excited to release a new feature that makes the Embrace dashboard even more powerful in providing quick, actionable insight via an intuitive and unified starting point: the Overview Page.

Now available for both web and mobile applications in the Embrace Dashboard, this update gives you an instant, high-level snapshot of app health and user experience, tailored to the unique signals that matter most for your platform.

A unified overview built for every app

Whether you’re monitoring a mobile app or a web frontend, your Overview Page is now the single best jumping off point to start your analysis and understand how users are experiencing your product. It surfaces key health, stability, and engagement metrics at a glance, so you can quickly spot when something’s off and easily navigate to troubleshooting features to help resolve it.

Depending on the app type, the Overview Page shows you the most relevant metrics:

For web applications

  • Core Web Vitals: Instantly see how your site performs across Google’s critical UX metrics: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Interaction to Next Paint (INP), all with clear visual thresholds and trend tracking.
  • JavaScript Exceptions: Track error counts and trends to spot emerging frontend issues before they impact users.
  • Network Errors: Identify failing or slow API requests that could be slowing down your site.
  • User Flows: Monitor completion and abandonment rates of your key flows to understand whether performance issues are impacting critical app functionality, like check-out or log-in.
  • Alerts: View recently triggered alerts to stay on top of critical performance warnings.

For mobile applications

  • Crash-Free Sessions and Users: Quickly assess app stability and identify when crash rates rise.
  • App Launch Metrics: Measure launch performance and potential startup latency.
  • Network Errors: Spot whether any connectivity issues or response errors are emerging and affecting app performance.
  • User Flows: Monitor completion and abandonment rates of your key flows to understand whether performance issues are impacting critical app functionality, like check-out or log-in.
  • Alerts: View recently triggered alerts to stay on top of critical performance warnings.

A launchpad for investigation

The Overview Page is designed to be your launchpad for investigation. From any metric, you can drill down into the relevant Embrace analytical view to dive deeper into the data behind it,  whether that’s Sessions, Network Monitoring, JS Exceptions, Crashes, or Core Web Vitals.

This gives you a clear path to troubleshooting and issue resolution, starting from the topline stats and navigating to the detailed, instance-level view with ease.

Built for teams focused on real users

What makes the Overview Page special isn’t just the metrics themselves, it’s what they represent.

Traditional observability often starts from infrastructure up. Embrace starts directly from the end users. The new Overview Page extends this philosophy by presenting data that’s rooted in real user experience, not abstract averages or sampled telemetry.

You’ll know not just how your app is performing technically, but how that performance is felt by every user across different platforms, versions, and even unique sessions.
