A captured user session is when an app is used in a particular state and data is captured. An example is when an app is opened (foregrounded) and data is captured, and another session is captured when the app is backgrounded and activity continues.
Embrace offers a Pro trial for 30 days from when you start using the product. We’ll provide options for staying on Pro after the 30 days, or you can use the Teams option for free, forever, up to 1 million sessions per year.
We’ll ingest up to 1 million sessions per year, and offer 5 free users. You won’t be able to add additional users, or ingest additional data if either of those caps are reached unless you upgrade to a paid plan.
Enterprise plans include several additional features, extended data retention, custom metrics packaged with your plan, and premium support, among other things. If you have multiple engineering teams, want to integrate your data with multiple additional vendors, or want to retain and query your data for extended periods, Enterprise is for you. No. Embrace’s RUM User Sessions are priced the same, regardless of what device they are coming from, and Embrace charges customer based on overall session consumption. That means that the ratio of web vs. mobile sessions that you’re sending to Embrace does not matter, all sessions will count against your available credits.
Background sessions, whether for web or mobile, are priced at a discounted rate compared to foreground sessions because the amount of data captured is less. If you would like collect background sessions, get in touch with your CSM to turn on the feature.
