We’re excited to launch Release Health, a new feature designed to help engineers better monitor and compare the quality of their app releases!
This powerful tool empowers your teams to make data-driven decisions during rollouts and proactively catch regressions early by providing critical insights into app stability and user experience.
Whether you’re gearing up for a new launch, carefully observing a canary deployment, or simply comparing different production versions, Release Health offers both a high-level overview and granular breakdowns of app issues.
Compare key metrics across releases

At its core, Release Health operates by comparing two distinct groups. One group is your “new release,” the specific app version you are currently evaluating. This is compared to another app version you select as your “baseline,” the reference version you want to compare your new release against.
When you’ve chosen which app versions you’d like to compare as your “new” vs. “baseline,” the Release Health page provides comprehensive tracking of key issue types. By seeing how a new version stacks against your baseline, the feature allows you to stay on top of what matters most to your users.
Issues currently captured in our Release Health view include:
- Crashes
- ANRs (Application Not Responding)
- Exceptions
- Error Logs
For each of these issue types, Release Health delivers both overall impact metrics and a detailed breakdown of all unique issues.
Overall impact metrics include the following:
- % of affected users: the percentage of your user base experiencing issues.
- % of affected sessions: the percentage of app sessions impacted by problems.
The detailed breakdown, seen below the overall impact metrics, provides deeper insight into specific issues, including:
- Impact per issue type: provides a clear view of how each issue type is affecting your app.
- Comparison delta between selected versions: lets you see how the new release compares to your chosen baseline.
Get started with Release Health
Release Health helps you focus your efforts by enabling you to prioritize based on the user and session impact delta between versions. Easily identify and address issues that are having the most significant negative impact on your users, and isolate when a version regression is behind the problem.
