Embrace’s new Logs Experience empowers engineers to analyze logs with full user context

We're excited to introduce the new Logs Experience, which contextualizes logs within the full user experience, supports larger log messages, and presents a number of analysis updates for unrivaled troubleshooting capabilities.

Logs are a crucial part of troubleshooting application performance issues. In the world of mobile, however, logging tools that have been readily available typically miss the mark. Mobile is a unique environment with many interacting variables, unpredictable conditions, and unexpected user behaviors. Engineers need a logging tool that takes all of these factors into account and lets them analyze logs within the proper context of a mobile user session. 

That’s why we’re excited to announce our new logs experience, an upgraded version of Embrace’s mobile logs feature that provides specialized mobile context unlike any other tool on the market. 

With Embrace’s new logs experience, you’ll be able to…

  • More quickly make sense of high-volume, highly detailed logs data to extract insights fast. Enrich your logs with as much context you need to make them work harder for you
  • Connect the dots between what your logs are saying and what your users are actually seeing
  • Identify exactly how logged events interact with all the other technical and behavioral variables within a user session to get the full picture

As part of our new logs experience release, we’ve seriously upped our game when it comes to both analytical capabilities and UX interface. Starting today, our customers can take advantage of the following features: 

  • Increased, flexible log message support: Customers can now add log messages up to 4,000 characters log. Plus, attached messages can be anything you want – cookies, user states, etc.  
  • Option to add log properties: Organize and categorize logs in a way that makes sense to you with new log properties as key/value pairs 
  • Searchability to find exactly what you need: We support free-text search and advanced filtering across your logs and log messages so you can quickly isolate the events you’re looking for
  • Improved logs page UX: Our new logs experience offers both aggregated logs and raw logs tabs, so you can easily go from big-picture trends to individual issue deep-dives

User session analysis: The most unique and compelling feature of Embrace logs is our contextual connection to the end user.  You can easily find user sessions that are correlated with specific logs and view those logs right in the session timeline, so you know exactly what happened before, during, and after a logged event.

Pricing details

As part of the new logs experience, customers will be able to send unlimited error logs for free. This includes a full stack trace and a log message of up to 4,000 characters. 

Info, warning, and systems logs will now be charged at $0.50/GB for Pro users, with a 14-day retention window and $1.00/GB for Enterprise users with a 30-day retention window.
