Bring mobile observability to DevOps with Embrace and Grafana Labs

Monitoring the mobile environment has become an increasingly important and cross-functional endeavor. More and more DevOps teams are looking for ways to better integrate mobile telemetry into their wider practice, signaling an evolution in mobile from the era of “debugging” to a true “observability” approach.

This is challenging for two primary reasons. Firstly, mobile is an incredibly complex environment that behaves very differently to the backend infrastructure that DevOps engineers are used to monitoring. It requires both specialized knowledge and specialized tools to get it right. This points to our second issue: tooling. There’s a scarcity of really good solutions in the market that truly unify mobile and backend telemetry in a way that is cohesive and useful.

That’s where Embrace and Grafana come into play. Together, Embrace and Grafana bridge the gap between DevOps and mobile teams, allowing engineers to correlate critical telemetry with backend data that monitors network infrastructure, cloud services, databases, and even physical servers.
